Cannot find the option to enable Mobile Lite in my developer org . Am I missing something ?

    • JohnCoppedge February 15, 2017 at 11:57 pm #

Mobile classic was discontinued so it may not be available in your org- I’ve removed that objective as I don’t think it will be relevant moving forward.

Consider adding something about “My Unresolved” Items when syncing with Outlook. I could not find anything about them in the materials. Thank you!

Hi john – I am not able to add mobile devices.
    (N) Mobile Administration> Salesforce Classic> Users and Devices – Here I do not see any option to add device. Can you please help me out.

    • JohnCoppedge August 17, 2015 at 7:31 pm #

You have to configure access first, then activate the mobile device (it will then show up in the list, you don’t add it from setup).

I remember that Salesforce for Outlook provided the ability to save all or none of the attachments associated with an email. I thought I’d seen/heard that users can now select the specific attachments they want to save. Please confirm this. Thanks!

    • Rena Bennett-Dellwo April 30, 2015 at 11:12 pm #

Answered my own question. It’s available now (as of Winter ’15 or maybe Spring ’15).

    Hi John,

I had troubles finding a download link for Salesforce for Outlook, I found it after while, but it may help others.

Every helppage says, that when in Salesforce in the Setup do either one of the following:
    * If you clicked Setup, select Desktop Integration | Salesforce for Outlook.
    * If you clicked My Settings, click Desktop Add-Ons | Salesforce for Outlook.

Only the second path works and leads to a download link.

Would you know why the first one doesn’t? There’s actually no “Desktop Integration”, but “Desktop Administration” and it doesn’t contain a “Salesforce for Outlook” item.

    Thanks and regards,

Sorry but I am a bit confused. Can anyone confirm that Salesforce1, Mobile Lite and Salesforce Classic are all still available and being supported by SalesForce.com?

    • JohnCoppedge October 14, 2014 at 1:21 am #

Salesforce1 is the latest version. Salesforce Classic is the old version of Salesforce Mobile; Mobile Lite is a subset of classic. I believe all 3 are still supported, but Salesforce1 is clearly where the platform is headed.

  20. Kaira Bergstra January 13, 2014 at 2:01 am #

Confused: The Salesforce1 video doesn’t talk about mobile, and is half an hour long, not 15 mins.

    Thanks,
    Kaira

Bummer, looks like this section was changed or removed. You can find it with premier training but I don’t think it generally available anymore. Thanks for pointing this out.

    John,

    Grammatical error in

    >> Mobile Lite has licensing restrictions, while the full version of Mobile may carry an license additional fee.

Can be changed to something like,

Mobile Lite has licensing restrictions, while the full version of Mobile may carry an additional license fee.
