Spring ’15 & Summer ’15 Updates

I’ve been busier than ever working at Apttus, and finally found a free weekend (with an extra day of PTO) to update CertifiedOnDemand.com.  Here’s what’s changed to reflect the Spring ’15 and Summer ’15 Salesforce.com releases:

Hi John, I’ve studied this guide and got a 78% on the practice exam, however, when I take other practice exams online I only get a 50%. I think it’s because your questions are more clear and also clearly indicate how many selections to make for the multiple choice, but I don’t know for sure. I’m taking the test in 3 days and just anxious about how else to prepare at this point. I appreciate your site as it really guides around learning not memorizing but I’m still concerned. Any suggestions? Thanks

I would go back through those exams you got 50% and validate every one of the answers you got wrong. Make sure you know the answer from knowing how to configure it… not just knowledge. I would also review the individual section quizzes on the site- and trailhead if you haven’t used it already is a great resource. Good luck!

I passed!! Thank you for this helpful site. I also reviewed all the trailhead admin modules. I completely agree with the approach of this site as far as really learning/understand each component of the test and would warn others not to try to memorize the flashcard/brain dump questions out there. I found many that were wrong/out-dated. Thanks again!

Do you have an ETA on a study guide update for Winter ’16? I’m also curious if you know when the ADM-201 certification exam will start incorporating Winter ’16 features. Thank you!

I’ll be working on the update shortly – I don’t know exactly when it will be reflected in the certification exam, but when you register it will indicate the version.

    Hi John,
Thank you so much for this resource.
I am thinking in paying for the full content as I am taking the exam next Friday. I tried the new App builder exam and I failed 2 times already, so have planned to go over the 201 instead.
The App builder has more than 60% questions of “real life scenarios” but I rather prefer questions with clear answers, 100% theory questions, so that I only need to worry about studying hard.
Do you know if the 201 exam offers more scenario based questions or theoric questions?

    Thank you in advance.

I hear that it’s really a mix of both – your percentage of each will probably vary exam to exam.

Hey John!! I just pasted my ADM 201 exam like an hour ago on the first try as well!! I’m on cloud 9 right now B-) I really appreciate the work you have put into this site. It is an invaluable resource that I will continue to use as I start my career in the Salesforce sector.

John – I just passed my ADM201 first time! Could not have done it without your awesome site. I have gone through your content with a fine tooth comb and it has undoubtedly stood me in good stead for my pass, particularly since much of the exam covers areas and functions within Salesforce which I have had little or no exposure to. Many thanks for an amazing service, worth every penny.

That’s awesome Stewart thanks for the feedback, and congrats!

      Hi Stewart,

I am preparing for ADM 201 exam. Can you please guide me or provide me some study resource which will help me?

John, love the resource you have put together here. Question: In your opinion, how many of these changes do you expect to make it on to the certification exam? I’m taking the exam on Saturday morning, and i’m curious what you think. Thanks again! – Dustin

Hard to say for sure Dustin. I would definitely review all of the changes, it shouldn’t take too long. Good luck!

      Dustin,

How did you do on the exam? Did you feel this Certified on Demand packet helped even with the updates? I plan on taking the cert test in about a month and was curious

      • dustin.richard.russell@gmail.com September 9, 2015 at 10:28 pm #

Hey there, apologies for just getting to this;- I just saw the post. CoD absolutely helped with preparing for the exam;- it provides a great foundation for learning everything that you need to know. Highly recommended.

I passed the test on the second try;- I attribute that to me being a bit nervous for the test the first time around. Let me know how the test goes! – Dustin

        • JohnCoppedge September 10, 2015 at 1:47 am #

Congrats Dustin – any idea what topics tripped you up the first time around?

          • dustin.richard.russell@gmail.com September 10, 2015 at 3:49 am #

Thanks, John. I can’t recall any specific topics there were of issue to me, but I do remember the questions that had you select two or select three were difficult for me;- I thought I knew everything, but I started second-guessing myself when it was time to check the boxes. Having gone through the test the first time allowed me to circle back to CoD and really dive deeper into what I needed to get a better grasp on.

Taking the 401 on Friday, and from what i’ve heard, it’s very similar to what I saw on the 201.

Great, thanks for the feedback Dustin and good luck on Friday!

I passed last Friday EASY. This definitely helped, thank you for reassuring me on using this CoD. And thanks John for creating a great resource
